Fis -- Distribution List FOUNDATIONS OF INFORMATION SCIENCE

About Fis

The FIS initiative (Foundations of Information Science) started in 1994 with a first meeting in Madrid (organized by Michael Conrad and Pedro Marijuan), and was followed by a successful conference series: FIS 1996 in Vienna, FIS 2005 in Paris, FIS 2010 in Beijing, FIS 2013 in Moscow, IS4SI & FIS 2015 in Vienna, IS4SI & FIS 2017 in Gothenburg, and IS4SI in Berkeley.

The present discussion list was created in 1997, and has been active up to now. Discussion archives of the different periods may be found at: http://fis.sciforum.net/fis-mailing-list/

FIS POSTING RULES

- FIRST RULE: Maintaining the academic & scholarly code of conduct; messages not abiding by it should be ignored.

- SECOND RULE: Participants have only right to a maximum of TWO OR THREE MESSAGES PER WEEK (two should be the general rule, but just one can be recommended in case of list saturation). Discussion chairs may always post beyond that limit.

- THIRD RULE: Clean posting; not dragging accumulated previous messages; addressing the messages only to fis@listas.unizar.es, exclusively (in any case, the less “cc” adresses included the better). Attached files are very unwelcome.
