Dear Kate,

Probably Yin and Yang should be modeled not as points but as intervals,
respectively Yin as the interval [-1,0) and Yang as the interval (0,1].

Arguably, too, emotions are not dots but corresponding intervals.

It might be good to use fuzzy membership functions of type 2.

to make reasoning about the complex real world easier.
