I will say it again.
The guys who run the arXiv routinely suppress even slightly non-status quo physics papers by manipulating their classification.
If you were to write a serious paper on high energy physics it might be reclassified as general physics, which is a code term for content free exposition.
Mathematicians are mostly immune from this treatment, but my physicist friends tell me that this treatment is likely to affect publication, and if you protest the classification, the arXiv guys will say, we’ll redo the classification after your paper is published in a peer-reviewed journal.
