Thank you both for your especially rich comments. There is so much touched on in prior posts that I hesitate add to the current thread. I will simply offer this one impression — within our necessarily entangled simple to complex cosmos it seems the smallest of events can unleash a entire chain of events that one wonders ‚at what specific point shall we begin our analysis?‘ More generally ‚what computational patterns might be discerned in that chain of events?‘ so we might usefully talk about ‚feedback‘, ‚science’, and the like? Last I heard (and as Mark suggests) we lack actual tools for conducting such analysis — but developing said tools requires we first name some pattern(s) across said events(?) Is THAT missing pattern what we actually have in mind when we mention ‚feedback‘?
