Estimado personal investigador:

Dear Researchers,
I am writing to share a summary regarding the AEI call for FPU predoctoral grants for university teacher training <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.aei.gob.es/ayudas-fpu-2026__;!!D9dNQwwGXtA!W3U2QLlwTuGJHZCJ2i4RcRC6ny6ePnnWHL1c4A2x-uhStSJ6bhpge3xor8sY2LKxd-g9k-5A0wDgkziF3d8F-H6RTiM8xfkwSiUEHCetqyx4lx8$ > .
As you may know, these grants require applicants to have a pre-assigned research center and group.
Through the Postgraduate and Specialization Department (DPE), the CSIC offers support to researchers to advertise their available positions and attract candidates, as detailed in the email sent by INMA`s managment on September 29th. Outreach will be carried out through the CSIC Job Board and Employment and Research Database (BDEI) to publish predoctoral contract offers directly on the institutional website, as well as through CSIC social media channels. Additionally, we will use the INMA and Unizar social media channels to amplify your offers. Please send your vacancy announcements to inmadivulgacion en unizar.es <mailto:inmadivulgacion en unizar.es> and this address: inma_conv.nacionales en inma.unizar-csic.es. We will share them across all available media. You may use the template available on the INMA intranet as a guide.
Funding: the total amount is 143,350 euros over four years.
This includes 32,500 euros per year (approximately 130,000 euros total) for the predoctoral contract, covering the gross salary with a minimum of 75 percent of the applicable collective agreement or M3 AGE, as well as the employer social security contributions.
It also includes 10,000 euros in total across the four-year period for research stays and PhD tuition fees.
The evaluation criteria: total 100 points, divided into 75 points for the academic record of the applicant (with a minimum threshold of 60 points required to pass) and 25 points for the scientific and technical track record of the research team and thesis supervision.
Application process: the beneficiary entity that signs and submits the official application is the research center, while the candidate completes their part on the online portal. Applications cannot be submitted without a confirmed host center.
The submission window for applicants to complete their form runs from October 20 to November 12, 2026, until 14:00 peninsular time.
The deadline for entities and centers to sign and submit the official application runs from October 20 to November 20, 2026, until 14:00 peninsular time.
For documentation to coordinate with the center, the applicant provides their completed form and academic transcript, while the thesis supervisor must provide their CVA and the document explaining the scientific, technical, and training context of the group in Annex II (maximum 10 pages) so that INMA management can validate and submit the complete application.
Main updates
*Full management by the AEI.
*Prior enrollment in a PhD program is not mandatory at the time of application, as being admitted or eligible for admission at the contract signing stage is sufficient.
*Paperwork has been simplified by eliminating the Academic Committee certificate and the evaluation of the training project report.
*University teaching options have been expanded to permit teaching in both Bachelor and Master degrees.
*A Postdoctoral Orientation Period (POP) of up to 12 months is included within the overall four-year timeframe following the defense of the doctoral thesis.
*Finally, annual reporting has been removed in favor of a new monitoring scheme consisting of an interim report between months 20 and 21 and a final report.
Best regards,
Raquel.
