Estimados investigadores:

Se encuentra abierta una convocatoria de la iniciativa EIG CONCERT-Japan
relacionada con tecnologías del hidrógeno.

Os damos abajo un breve resumen de las temáticas cubiertas y países
participantes. Requiere mínimo 1 socio japonés y 2 socios de de
distintas agencias financiadoras nacionales participantes.

Ana.

*EIG CONCERT-Japan Joint Call on Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as
Affordable and Clean Energy* (more information
<http://www.concert-japan.eu/spip.php?article85>).

This call for proposals invites Japan and Europe-based researchers to
develop more efficient, reliable, flexible and clean hydrogen-based
technologies. We welcome research proposals taking cross-sectoral
approaches, which bring natural and social sciences together. Proposals
that involve various non- academic participants, such as practitioners,
industry and other individuals and groups of the general public are also
encouraged.
At the center of this call is a recognition that hydrogen technologies
that are fuelled by clean and affordable energy can contribute to
building a better society, and help mitigate climate change and other
environment impacts caused by ever-growing human reliance on energy.

*Research scope*

This call focuses on research around the development of sustainable
hydrogen technology. This includes tackling research challenges related
to hydrogen production, usage and storage. A close consideration will be
given to proposals that promote energy security and environmental quality.

Projects are envisioned to explore areas of research such as:
• Hydrogen Production (different mechanisms for water splitting –
renewable, electrolysis, biological (fermentation), ... )
• Manufacturing (fabrication methods for continuous process:
scalability, cost-reduction, reliability, sensors integration, quality
control, ... )
• Hydrogen Storage and transportation (physical-based: gas, liquid, ...;
materials-based: absorbent, organichydride, metalhydride ...; models, ... )
• Technology applications and validation (transport, power generation,
hydrogen fuel cells (catalyst, electrolytes, electrodes, models, ...),
heating and cooling ... )
• Systems Modelling and Analysis (performance models, aging and
degradation models, life cycle analysis, financial analysis, required
infrastructures, lab pilots, ... )

*Participating countries and regions*
