Los autores de los podcasts son estudiantes del 2º curso del Grado en Periodismo y, en varios de los mismos, han ejercido como mentores estudiantes del 4º curso del Grado en Economía. Esta experiencia interdisciplinar se traduce en las siguientes cifras:</p>

Para tratar de buscar soluciones al problema, un primer paso consiste en identificar cuáles son los factores determinantes de la distribución de la renta. Siguiendo los preceptos de la Economía Evolutiva y combinándolos con el materialismo epistemológico de Mario Bunge, construimos un marco teórico con el objetivo de dar respuesta a este problema.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0; padding: 0; mso-line-height-rule: exactly; -ms-text-size-adjust: 100%; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; color: #202020; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: medium;">Nuestra hipótesis es que la distribución de la renta es el resultado principal de lo que llamamos el sistema social. Éste, a su vez, está integrado por tres sub-sistemas, económico, institucional y científico-tecnológico, cuyos mecanismos determinan el sentido de la tendencia a largo plazo de la desigualdad. Los mecanismos que describen estos sistemas se articulan en torno a un paradigma tecno-económico determinado, cuya evolución, de unos 35-50 años, conforma un fenómeno emergente y no determinista que describimos como onda larga. Los perfiles de estas ondas son marcados por la evolución del paradigma tecnológico que, llegado el momento de su agotamiento, es sustituido por otras innovaciones radicales que fuerzan cambios estructurales en todos los niveles anteriormente descritos, con consiguientes procesos de ajuste y crisis económica.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0; padding: 0; mso-line-height-rule: exactly; -ms-text-size-adjust: 100%; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; color: #202020; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: medium;">Mediante análisis empíricos y descriptivos, podemos comprobar que las características económicas, institucionales y tecnológicas de los años 30-70 del pasado siglo son consistentes con una tendencia hacia la reducción de la desigualdad de la renta en varios países desarrollados; por el contrario, el mismo análisis sirve también para apoyar que la desigualdad ha tendido a aumentar durante los años que fueron desde la crisis del petróleo hasta la Gran Recesión. <p style="text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0; padding: 0; mso-line-height-rule: exactly; -ms-text-size-adjust: 100%; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; color: #202020; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%;">En las últimas décadas y facilitado quizás por la mayor conectividad humana que suponen las redes sociales y la globalización se aprecia que determinadas teorías generales o sistemas de creencias estructuradas se popularizan rápidamente hasta crearse "consensos" culturales cuando las teorías en sí podrían ser objetivamente falsas (aunque por su naturaleza difusa sea difícil probarlo sin ambigüedad). Este fenómeno puede darse en situaciones donde no parece que haya grupos que se beneficien de tales creencias falsas y la gente actúa racionalmente, lo que requiere una explicación que no se encuentra en los modelos existentes en psicología social y evolucionista y en antropología. En este trabajo propongo un modelo epistémico de evolución cultural para explicar por qué pueden expandirse en una población teorías falsas o sistemas de creencias perjudiciales desde el punto de vista adaptativo, hasta el punto de volverse hegemónicas o formar "consensos". La propuesta combina ideas de las literaturas de agregación de juicios y del ganador de Condorcet dentro de la teoría de elección social con modelos evolutivos dinámicos para ofrecer una explicación en la que las decisiones de adopción de creencias de todos los agentes en cada momento son óptimas, aunque paradójicamente pueden dar lugar a dinámicas donde todo el mundo se equivoca. En esto se parece a los fenómenos de generación de cascadas de información y de reputación que se han propuesto para explicar fenómenos de difusión rápida de modas o burbujas bien conocidos en teoría económica, aunque los procesos que estudio aquí son mucho más resistentes a la llegada de nueva información en el sistema y, por tanto, presumiblemente más peligrosos. La clave del fenómeno la proporciona un nuevo proceso de aprendizaje social exclusivo de los modelos epistémicos que denomino "reflexión personal". Se trata de una fase de la evolución cultural de las creencias que se añade a la transmisión "horizontal" (en la que unos individuos imitan las creencias de otros dentro de la misma generación), a la transmisión "vertical" (los individuos aprenden de la generación anterior por vía genética o cultural/educativa) y al puro aprendizaje "personal" del entorno (experiencia personal)....<br />Sigue leyendo en nuestro blog.</p>
